About Dr. Altamash Shaikh
Dr. Altamash Shaikh is a Consultant Endocrinologist, Diabetologist and Metabolic Physician practicing across some of Mumbai’s leading hospitals, including Saifee Hospital, HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, Prince Aly Khan Hospital, Masina Hospital, Wockhardt Hospital and S.L. Raheja Hospital (Fortis).
Since completing his DNB in Endocrinology from P. D. Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre in 2011, he has built a clinical practice around diabetes, thyroid disorders, obesity and metabolic syndrome, bone health, and hormonal conditions – while remaining an active national and international faculty member, lecturing at endocrine and diabetes conferences across India and internationally.
He has authored or co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, including contributions to the Sadikot International Textbook of Diabetes and the Ramadan and Diabetes Care handbook, and has been recognised with The Economic Times “Inspiring Diabetologist & Endocrinologist of India” award and the RSSDI Award for Excellence in Diabetes Care.
At AMS Neolife, he works alongside his wife, Dr. Manzer Altamash Shaikh, on the hormonal and metabolic conditions that intersect with pregnancy, fertility and women’s health.
